Welcome to the Center for Psychological Advice Personal Counseling section. You've found the right place if you want to request a private counseling session with Dr. Chance.

If this is your first time to visit or you are still curious, we'll now explain how personal counseling with Dr. Chance works in the sections below.

If you are a returning customer, you may enter your Customer Number and email address now. This will let you skip the registration process and will also ensure that you get credit for previous counseling sessions when computing eligibility for discounts.

If you are currently feeling suicidal or feel like hurting someone else, log off NOW and call a local mental health professional.

Counseling Is A Fee For Service Scenario

Engaging in a private counseling session with Dr. Chance requires a fee for her consulting with you. On-line counseling sessions with Dr. Chance are available through email.

The process begins with you reading and agreeing to the Informed Consent and Terms of Agreement pages (more on this below), then proceeding to the order entry form. On that page, you will then enter your personal information before being transferred to AuthorizeNet's secured web site to enter your credit card information. Upon successfully completing the credit card transaction, you will be returned to Dr. Chance's site where you can then enter additional information in a questionnaire that she will need to respond to your counseling request.

Please note that PayPal will charge your credit card during the transaction. If there is a problem, Dr. Chance will gladly refund your fee.

How Email Counseling Works

Email counseling sessions begin with you submitting a description of your personal situation to Dr. Chance by filling in a questionnaire form (after the payment process is completed per above), describing your situation in as much detail as possible. After submitting the form with your information to Dr. Chance, she will reply with her personalized assessment of your situation within 48 hours.

The cost per session for email counseling is US$15. Dr. Chance offers a US$5 discount for every third session. Payments are collected through credit card charges made over AuthorizeNet's secure, real-time on-line connection as described above.

Important Notice! Once you begin your email counseling session, you will have 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire, including the problem description. If entering your information takes longer than this, your session will "time out" and you will not be able to send your information to Dr. Chance! To prevent your session from timing out, you should write up your problem description in advance, save it to a text file on your computer, and then copy and paste this into the problem description text box on the questionnaire form prior to submitting your information. We recommend you do this before beginning the order process.

You Must Understand and Agree

Aside from the cost, using the email counseling service also requires that you read and understand the Informed Consent page and agree to the Terms of Service.

To begin the process of placing your order and submitting your questions and personal information to Dr. Chance, click on the Begin button below. You will be taken to the Informed Consent page. After reading that page, click on the "I Understand" button and you will then be taken to the Terms of Service page. Clicking on the "I Understand and Agree" button on that page will take you to the order entry section. If you have ordered a counseling session before, enter your customer number in the form at the top of this page.

Please note: First time users will not be able to begin the order process if the Informed Consent and Terms of Service pages are skipped.
